In 2020, the City of Miami Beach commemorated the 155th Juneteenth Independence Day by holding a ceremony at Pride Park and planting a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree to forever remember the day in 1865 that all enslaved black people learned they had been freed from bondage and to celebrate Black lives and contributions to the city. The following events will take place to commemorate Juneteenth in the City of Miami Beach:
