Plgdc Company dancers

Our dancers, each with a unique style, comprise a melting pot of cultures from around the world. Combining educational training and exquisite talent to create engaging and dynamic choreography and performances guided and inspired by Peter London, the Founder, Artistic Director and Choreographer of the PLGDC dance company. 

Leon Cobb

Leon A. Cobb, raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, began his dance training at the age of 17, at the Ailey School, Martha Graham school and Alonzo King LINES Ballet summer intensive as a scholarship fellowship student and New World School of the Arts/Univeristy of Florida BFA degree graduate class of 2015. He has since then worked as a group leader for the Ailey Camp and Camp Broadway Miami and has taught for Teens at Graham and EMIA summer intensive. Professionally danced with Joseé Garrant, Limón, MOMIX contemporary dance, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Graham 2, Martha Graham contemporary dance companies and most recent appearances are in feature length documentary film “Uprooted: The Journey of Jazz Dance” and featured dancer as role “LEGBA” in Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. “David Makes Man” Season 2 on OWN.

Maria Burt

A Miami native, Maria Burt began her training at Armour Dance Theatre and attended New World School of the Arts College where she has performed repertoire by Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin, Mark Morris and Paul Taylor. She also had the opportunity to work closely with Eduardo Villaro in the production of the work "Chance of Thunder". In the summer of 2018, Maria attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance summer intensive where she learned choreography from Christian Burns and Alex Ketley. Currently, she is working with Adele Myers and Dancers, Peter London Global Dance Company, National Water Dance Project with Dale Andree and Syncopate Collective. She has performed with Rosie Herrera Dance Theatre in their recent production, “Devotion”. Maria has earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Florida/New World School of the Arts with the graduating class of 2020.

Stephanie Franco

Stephanie Franco is a traveling choreographer, teacher, and movement artist based out of Miami, Florida. Under the cohesive training of John Culbertson and Cookie Ramos, she deepened her journey at Dance Attack Miami. While living in Los Angeles, she has worked with world-renowned choreographers such as Mia Michaels & trained under the direction of Erica Sobol, in deep process with artists such as Medhi Walerski, Tilman O’Donnell, Jermaine Spivey, and Adi Salant. Living in Miami, developing as an artist, she pushes her cultural awareness working with mentor Michelle Murray and Jubilation Dance Ensemble. She has also embarked on projects with Pioneer Winter, Dale Andree, Adele Myers, Hattie Mae Williams, Valeria Valleto, Frankie Zulferino, Rena Butler, and Urban Bush Women to name some. She was an artist in residency with Grass Stains ’22 under Pioneer Winter and Ana Sánchez-Colberg, & with Miami DanceMakers ’22 under Adele Myers & partnered with Live Arts Miami. She was also a member of NWD Projects under Dale Andree. She is currently a member of Syncopate Collective creating with Miami locals, along studying Hip Hop and Street Dance as a cohort of Rennie Harris University. She worked with Urban Bush Women in their premiere of Haint Blu as performer, production assistant, & community organizer as Miami’s local artist. She has also embarked in community engagement with Breakthrough Miami, leading movement workshops to young scholars. Stephanie is embarking on her first season with The Peter London Global Dance company. She continues to teach contemporary primarily at Dance Attack Miami and Dance Empire of Miami. Through raw artistic expression & constant research, she continues exploring movement and beyond.

Clinton Harris

Born and raised in Miami FL, Clint T. Harris’ love of dance and teaching began here. Trained in various dance styles such as modern, ballet, contemporary, and Afro-Caribbean techniques. Mr. Harris is a featured dancer in the 2023 world premiere work Infinitum created by highly-acclaimed LA-based mover and choreographer Mike Tyus. He danced the world premiere of Fifth Moon for the 2022 Men Who Dance program choreographed by Enrique Villacres.


In 2020, Clint would dance and co-create Grass Stains alongside artistic director Pioneer Winter. Grass Stains is a site specific dance construction project for the Miami Underline Park and Urban Trail created by the Pioneer Winter Collective. Harris is also an original cast member of the children's storybook musical FatCat Caterpillar choreographed by Randolph Ward and created by Ja’Nia Harden. He has performed and premiered works at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Miami Beach Bandshell, African American Cultural Arts Center, Live ARTS at Super Blue, and toured internationally to Trinidad and Martinique.

Currently, Clint is a full company member with Peter London Global Dance Company under the direction of former Martha Graham principal dancer Peter London. His teaching credits include but are not limited to, BBHarts Performing Arts, XpressitDance Center, Dance Center of Florida, and the Diamond Mind Leadership Academy. In 2015, he was a featured cast member of the Lifetime TV Network hit Docuseries Step! Up. Documenting the lives of inner city youth and their passion for dance.

Jerome Hawkins

Born and raised in Miami Fl, Jerome Hawkins is a Dancer, videographer, photographer and ultimately an all around visual artist. Growing up as a street dancer at the age of 15 is when I started training at Ricky Danco school of dance under the direction of Ricardo Dume studying Modern, contemporary, & jazz. I later continued my training at Dr. Micheal Krop Dance magnet program under Ms. Bernadette Toussaint Pierre. Once graduated I joined Mahogany Dance Theatre in Tallahassee Fl under the artistic direction of Shepiro Hardemon working with guest artists such as Kavin Grant and touring locally around the state of Florida.

Herne Jean-Baptiste

Herne Jean-Baptiste is a New York City-based artist from Miami, Florida. He was inspired in sixth grade to dance under the direction of the Ailey Camp Miami summer program for two years. For six years, he trained at RickyDanco on a full scholarship. He later attended the New World School of the Arts while participating at Thomas Armour Youth Ballet Conservatory. He also attended the Dance Theatre of Harlem for two summers on scholarship. He then continued his higher education at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, pursuing a B.F.A. in Dance, where he graduated in Spring 2022 on full scholarship. He is a former apprentice dancer at PonyBox Dance Company, performed with Amahl Opera production and is currently with Jamal Jackson Dance Company. Herne is beyond excited to be a guest artist at Peter London Global Dance Company.

Tt’Shaylah Lightbourn

Born and raised in Miami, FL. Tt’Shaylah Lightbourn is a Haitian/Bahamian dancer, arts educator, choreographer, and herbalist. She began her formal training at the Ricky Danco School of Dance and later studied at Alabama State University. At ASU she began extensive training in sacred movements of the African Diaspora. Ms. Lightbourn has appeared on NBC 6 “Voices” as a member of Peter London Global Dance Company. Tt’Shaylah has also performed world premiere works at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and internationally in Trinidad and Tobago 2022 & Martinique 2023. As an Arts Educator, Ms. Lightbourn has taught at, Dillard High School and Ricky Danco School of Dance and is currently teaching at Mater Academy Biscayne K-12. She is an original cast member of the children’s story book musical FatCat Caterpillar written by JaNia Harden. Tt’Shaylah Lightbourn uses her ancestral gift of dance combined with technical skill to captivate, motivate, and educate audiences on the sacred forms of movement expression of the African Diaspora. She is trained in various dance styles such as ballet, hip hop, jazz, afro-caribbean, and the Martha Graham technique.

Carlos Realegeno

Carlos Realegeno was born in Fresno, California and raised in Miami, Florida. He began dancing in a three month after-school ballet program and then continued self-training after completing the program. He exclusively self-trained until he attended 2 summers at Ailey Camp Miami in 2015 and 2016. After 3 years of not dancing, Carlos found his way back to dance and began his formal dance training in 2019 at Creativo Dance Studio. He continued on and was admitted to New World School of the Arts to complete his BFA in dance training in various techniques such as: Horton, Graham, Taylor, Jazz and Classical Ballet. Mr. Realegeno is now furthering his dance career teaching hip-hop, contemporary, and acro at Creativo Dance studio while also choreographing for their competition team. Carlos is a professional dancer working with names such as Bali boi and Latin artists Milky Woodz and Jowell y Randy. Carlos has also performed amazingly renowned works by Peter London, Paul Taylor, Rena Butler, and Jeffery Lloyd Smith.

Lakeria Robinson

Lakeria Robinson, born and raised in Miami, Florida, is a BFA graduate student from New World School of the Arts College, where she studied under Peter London’s tutelage. She is trained in ballet, modern, Jazz and Afro dance techniques. Lakeria is an alumni of the School at Jacob’s Pillow Dunham Legacy and Afro Latin intensives. Having been a part of programs like Archcore40 and the Overtown Youth Center, she is also well versed in commercial styles like  Hip Hop, Jazz Funk and Musical Theater. Lakeria has had the opportunity to perform works by Tina Santos, Robert Battle, Ronald K. Brown, Darshan Singh Bhuller, and several others who influence her creative process today. Lakeria is eager to be a part of Peter London Global Dance Company’s Production of Edge of Tomorrow.

Ethan Telfort

Ethan Telfort was born and raised in Miami, Florida. His early stages include training in hip-hop and other similar styles. Ethan has always had a love for dance that soon grew into a passion at a young age. Later on, during his teenage years, Ethan became heavily active in Musical Theatre until he became devoted to his true passion known as dance. Upon graduation from high school, Ethan has been blessed with the opportunity to train in an array of different areas of movement, from Ballet and Modern to Afro-Caribbean, and Afro-fusion, allowing further development into the artist standing before you today. This is Ethan’s second season with PLGDC and hopes to continue on for many more years!

Camilo Toro

Camilo Toro, Chilean professional dancer, Bachelor of Interpretation and Choreography, with more than 10 years of experience, bases in Chile as a show dance dancer, integrates ballet techniques, modern contemporary, jazz dance, tap dance, at the moment he teaches modern social dances with African roots such as Afrobeats and dancehall, Camilo is characterized by his versatility and musicality in movement and improvisation

Wesley Wray

Wesley Wray—who hails from right here in Miami, Florida—is a returning guest performer at the Peter London Global Dance Company. He made his first appearance with the company around two years ago, where Peter London discovered him through the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. Wesley is now a musical theatre student at the University of Michigan studying for his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. He is honored to be a part of this concert and hope you enjoy the show.

Aaron Lopez

Aaron Lopez, dancer and personal trainer, was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts. He has trained with The Florida Ballet, Jacksonville Center of the Arts, Florida State College, and currently resides in Miami, Florida where he has received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts. Besides his classical and modern training, Aaron has had the opportunity of performing at multiple award shows for artists such as Marc Anthony, Daddy Yankee, and Ozuna. Aaron’s goal is to use all the skills he has learned in the past few years to help him tour internationally for a famous artist or dance company.

Macey Rowan

A native to Jacksonville Florida, Macey Rowan began her dance training at the age of three years old. She went on to graduate from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts for high school as well as receiver her Bachelor of Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts. She has had the opportunity to perform works by Jennifer Archibald, Ohad Naharin, and Paul Taylor as well as further her training at institutions such as LINES Ballet, the Radio City Rockettes, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She now continues performing with Peter London Global Dance Company and is the competition director at BBharts Performing Arts. 

Briley Rowan

Briley Rowan was born in Jacksonville, Florida, where she began her training at the age of three. Growing up she was introduced to many styles such as ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz. She went on to formally train at Miami City Ballet School in the pre-professional program from 2017-2021. She has also studied at summer intensives such as Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and Nashville Ballet, among others. Recently Briley had the opportunity to join Peter London Global Dance company on their international tour to Trinidad, where she performed works by Terry Springer and Peter London. 

Eden Collier

Eden Collier is a native Floridian. Originally born in Fort Myers, Florida graduating from Cypress Lake High School School of the Arts. There, she played various roles in musicals and ballets and earned the title of President of the school's NHDSA. Eden transferred to Miami to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts. There, she has learned and acquired many skills that will prepare her for the professional dance world training in various techniques such as: Horton, Graham, Taylor, Jazz and Classical Ballet. You may have last seen her in New World School of the Arts Spring Concert (2020) in a collection of works choreographed by Merce Cunningham titled “Minevent” under the stage direction of Mary Lisa Burns. Eden’s last work, a self choreographed solo entitled “Don’t Leave Me” was shown for her school’s last Senior production. Eden attained her BFA from the University of Florida in 2021. Eden is excited to be a part of such a diverse group of talented dancers

Isabelle Vazquez

Isabelle Vazquez trained in classical dance, such as ballet and modern, for 21 years and received her bachelor in fine arts at New World School of the Arts. She has performed work by Robert Battle, Paul Taylor, Ohad Naharin, and many others. Isabelle has been with the Peter London Global Dance Company since 2022 and is currently still training to further her career in dance.

Rafael Ruiz-del-Vizo

Rafael Ruiz-del-Vizo was born and raised in Miami, Florida where he started his training at Showstopper Studio under the artistic direction of Susie Garcia. Rafael graduated with a BFA in Dance from New World School of the Arts College where he trained in classical ballet, modern and jazz. He has worked with choreographers such as Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Jennifer Archibald and Eduardo Vilaro; also having performed repertory by Robert Battle, Mark Morris, Ohad Naharin, Merce Cunningham and Paul Taylor. Rafael currently teaches at Showstopper Studio in Miami, Florida and trains as a guest artist with Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami,  and is helping create the Miami Movement Collective where he choreographs and performs with other Miami based movement artists. 

Alexis Blackshere

Alexis Blackshere is a performer and dancer born and raised in Miami, Florida. She began her studies at Next Generation Dance Academy, where she learned the techniques of ballet, modern, and jazz. Alexis Blackshere went on to train further at the New World School of the Arts, where she performed in “Boxed” by Robert Battle. In 2016 she attended the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Summer Intensive, where she studied modern and African dance. To further her career, she is now pursuing her BFA in Dance at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia under the direction of Donna Faye Burchfield. Alexis is focused on becoming a professional dance instructor.

Jade McCartney

Jade Scott McCartney is a graduate of New World School of the Arts BFA Program in Dance. Throughout her academic career she had the opportunity to perform works by such masters as Merce Cunningham, Alwin Nikolais, José Limón, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, Mark Morris, Jon Lehrer, Derrick Minter, and John Parks. In 2019 Ms. McCartney was selected to perform in the Merce Cunningham Centennial Celebration at the 92Y Harkness Center. Ms. McCartney has presented her choreographic works at South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, Valencia College, Perez Art Museum, Revolution Live, and the Faena Theater. Additionally, she stays engaged in the community as a Barre Fitness Certificated instructor, modeling coach, visual artist, and vessel of musical arrangements as DJ MANIA. Currently, she is a performer with the Peter London Global Dance Company, freelance artist for Art Basel/Miami Music Week events, and on the faculty of Artistic Dance Center.

Terrence Pride

Terrence “TM” Pride is a native of north Florida and a graduate of Florida A&M University in Theatre Performance and Dance. He has choreographed over 60 pieces of work including musicals and dance recitals as well as direct and perform in plays such as Black Nativity, The Wiz, and Blues for an Alabama Sky. From 2017-2019 Mr. Pride served as the director of the dance and theatre magnet at Apalachee Tapestry Magnet School of the Arts where he directed two Disney productions, Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Aladdin Jr. He also began incorporating arts integration lessons to deepen and influence practical learning in K-3rd grade classes. As a teaching artist Mr. Pride has developed curriculum for the classroom teacher for arts integration focusing on S.T.E.M subjects that he teaches through the country at various conferences.

Suzannah Koornneef

Suzannah Laine Koornneef is a South Florida native and a graduate from New World School of the Arts. Ms. Koornneef graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, which is a four year degree program through the University of Florida. She started dancing at the age of five and has trained in Cecchetti Ballet. Additionally, Ms. Koornneef trained in Horton, Graham, and Taylor styles of modern, tap, and jazz. She received a scholarship to attend NWSA and had the opportunity to perform renowned works by Gerard Ebitz, Peter London, Lara Murphy, Edwardo Vilaro, and Paul Taylor.

Alexander Campbell

Alexander Campbell was born and raised in Miami, FL. Growing up, he explored his talents in the arts through painting, drawing, and poetry. Alexander began dancing at the age of 17, and after graduating from New World School of the Arts College with a BFA in dance, he became a member of the Peter London Global Dance company.

Alondra Balbuena

Alondra Balbuena was born in NYC and raised in Miami, Florida. After moving to Miami, Alondra began training at Miami dance project in various genres including ballet and modern. Recent graduate of New World School of the Arts College where she performed works by Robert Battle, Ohad Naharin and Peter London. Over the summer of 2018, Alondra attended the San Francisco Conservatory of dance for the Gaga session and trained under the direction of Summer Lee Rhatigan where she studied and performed repertoire from the Batsheva Dance company. Throughout her time at New World School of the Arts, Alondra took interest in choreographing and presented her work at several events like NWSA Dancemakers, a collaborative project with the New World dance department and the Perez art Museum of Miami as well as the BFA Concert, a concert produced by the senior students at NWSA. Alondra is now a dance artist in Miami and joined PLGDC in 2020.

Iwalani Rios

Iwalani Rios hails from Aurora, Colorado where she began her dance training at Denver School of the Arts. She attended Randolph College where she received her BFA in Dance. While there she danced the works of Martha Graham, Pilobolus, Kazuko Hirabayashi, Takehiro Ueyama, and Diane Gray. Working with Clay Taliaferro on Jose Limon’s ‘There is a Time’ made her love modern dance. Upon graduation, Iwalani received a summer scholarship to the Martha Graham school in New York. While in Florida she has danced for Hattie Mae Williams and the Tattooed Ballerinas, working on sight specific and film projects. Mrs. Rios has also danced with Brazarte Dance Company and Fluxus Haus. Iwalani enjoys teaching dance at local dance studios, where she inspires the next generation of dancers and movers. This is her fourth season with PLGDC. She is honored to be Peter’s assistant and enjoys dancing his choreography every season.

Jesus Sandoval

Jesus Sandoval was born in Barranquilla, Colombia and was raised in Miami, FL, where he found his passion for dance at the age of 14. He trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary dance while attending high school and went on to graduate from New World School of Arts College with a BFA in Dance. He has learned choreographic and performed works by Robert Battle, Eduardo Vilaro, Jennifer Archibald and others.
